Most customers do some labor themselves and hire help from CatchSunlight for specific tasks. Most buyers save significantly by handling the polycarbonate installation themselves after getting the frame set. Typically, if CatchSunlight is delivering a standard high-tunnel kit, we can come to your location and install and level the groundposts, and with your help, build and install the hoops and some of the purlins and show you the basics of end wall construction all for $1,000. We can completely install your greenhouse with labor costs a little more than your material costs.
Getting the frame set square is the part that trips up first-time builders. Bringing in help for posts and hoops, then finishing the polycarbonate panels yourself, is the most common and cost-effective split. Call CatchSunlight to talk through what makes sense for your project.

What to Expect
There's no single right answer. Most buyers land somewhere in the middle — they do the panels and trim themselves, hire help for the heavy framing. Here's how each path works.
You buy the materials kit and build the structure yourself, using the assembly instructions and the video library above. Works well if you're handy, have a helper for the hoops, and have two or three days to commit. Most residential buyers go this route.
The most common arrangement for commercial-scale builds. Russ's crew handles the posts, hoops, and purlins — the structural work where getting things square matters most. You or your crew then install the polycarbonate panels and trim. You get professional framing at a fraction of full-service cost.
Materials plus complete labor. Crew delivers and builds the greenhouse at your property. Best for buyers who don't have the time or crew to manage the build themselves, or commercial operations that need to be online quickly.
CatchSunlight previously held a general contractor license and no longer carries one, consistent with agricultural-exemption practices in this region. For agricultural structures, this is standard — the liability for the installed structure sits with the property owner, not the installer. If your project requires a licensed contractor for permitting or financing reasons, let Russ know upfront and he'll tell you directly whether it's something that can be worked around or not.
